Job description

Assist in the development, promotion and supervision of all facets of the Universityโ€™s Acrobatics and Tumbling program.ย  Assist the head coach in overseeing the academic excellence of all student-athletes that are involved with the program. Assist with fundraising efforts and recruiting quality student-athletes for the future of the program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the head coach in planning, preparing, and executing practice and competition plans, strategies, and alternatives which are designed to bring success to the program. Will be in constant communication with strength coaches to ensure athletes weights plans are complimenting practice plans and vice versa and reporting to head coach.
  • Assist the head coach with meet preparation and learning the Scoring and Start Value (SV) system of Acrobatics and Tumbling. Relate in a positive and effective manner with judges, opponents, parents, media, and the public.
  • Assist the head coach in recruiting quality athletes capable of pursuing the baccalaureate degree in accordance with the rules and regulations of the governing bodies and in such a manner that reflects the best interests of the program and the University.
  • Assist the head coach in all fundraising activities for the program. Helping with camps and clinics
  • Assist the head coach in preparing eligibility documentation for submittal to the Associate AD/Compliance.
  • Participate in annual continuing education pertaining to NCAA and NCATA rules.
