Job description

Warehouse Lead

Location: Distribution Center

Schedule: 2nd Shift (1 pm – 10 pm; Monday – Friday)

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Various warehousing tasks to support all sales distribution points
  • Assisting with training new Warehouse Associates (conducting process observations, root cause analysis for quality defects, providing feedback coaching, etc.)
  • Unloading freight from trucks and trailers using manual and motorized equipment
  • Comparing goods received and packing slips for order accuracy, inspecting for any damage, and notifying your supervisor of any discrepancies
  • Scanning or entering products into the inventory control system or related computer program
  • Maintaining consistent and adequate stock of products on the sales floor and warehouse shelves in a neat and orderly condition
  • Using manual or motorized equipment to transport inventory between the warehouse and store locations
  • Leading in scheduled inventory events (physical inventory counts, etc.)
  • Preparing shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations
  • Accurately picking items from customers' orders, shipping orders or requisitions, preparing shipments, and loading products onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles
  • Occasionally driving a company vehicle to transport items from warehouse to customer or to pick up items from various locations
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety
  • Helping with property maintenance (lawn care, snow removal, etc.)
  • Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and striving to improve safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
  • Completing related tasks as assigned

You'll Need:

  • 2+ years of warehouse operations experience
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • The willingness and ability to work on powered equipment (forklift, etc.)

We'd Love If You Have:

  • Warehouse leadership experience
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Experience managing customer returns with efficient tracking and resolution
  • Familiarity with return management systems
  • Collaboration with internal teams and with external vendors to resolve issues

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand on a hard surface for up to 10 hours
  • Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs safely
