Job description

Iris Memory Care of Nichols Hills is looking for caregivers. We need different roles (CNAs vs CMAs vs ACMAs) and different shifts, so we encourage you to apply! 

We are a small, freestanding memory care assisted living community conveniently located off of Lake Hefner Parkway on May Avenue south of Britton. We have a small campus with a total of 55 residents. As a community focused on memory care, all of our residents are coping with Alzheimer's or other form of dementia. We are an age-in-place community, so you will care for residents all throughout the spectrum of the disease. 

Rate of pay for CNAs starts at $16 - $16.50 per hour. Higher pay rates will be given to those who are CMA/ACMA, from $17 - $18.50 per hour. Rate of pay is negotiable based upon experience. Priority will be given to candidates who have worked in memory care before. 

Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing Resident services and other duties as assigned. Duties include personal services, activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, life enrichment, meal services, and other tasks as needed for Resident care and service delivery. 

Primary Essential Job Duties:

  • Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
  • Assists with activities of daily living/ADL’s, environmental orientation, dining services, life enrichment programs, laundry and housekeeping, meal services, and other care services assigned, while encouraging self-care and independence. 
  • Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Offers comfort and support, emotionally and physically, to Residents.
  • Assists with vital signs and weight monitoring monthly or more frequently as required for all Residents and completes all required documentation. 
  • Puts Resident Service First: Ensures that Residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
  • Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be an active on the OK Nurse Aide Registry
  • Minimum one year experience in working with older adults as a personal care assistant preferred. 
  • Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 18 years old, or older if required per the state regulations.
  • Experience with dementia residents preferred.
  • Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements.
  • Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.
