About the Role:

The Advanced Certified Medication Aide (ACMA) plays a critical role in healthcare settings by safely administering medications to patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This position ensures that patients receive the correct medications at the appropriate times, contributing directly to their health and well-being. The ACMA is responsible for monitoring patients for adverse reactions and reporting any concerns promptly to nursing supervisors. This role requires a thorough understanding of medication protocols, patient confidentiality, and adherence to healthcare regulations. Ultimately, the ACMA supports the healthcare team by enhancing medication management efficiency and improving patient care outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an approved Advanced Certified Medication Aide training program.
  • Current certification as an Advanced Certified Medication Aide (ACMA) in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
