Job description

American Construction Materials (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and a variety of other metal accessories. ACM is proud to be an employee-first company and has won the Gallup Great Workplace Award for 20 consecutive years.
ACM is seeking a Shipping Technician to join its team. If you're looking for a fast-paced position with an established company, we want to hear from you!
Specific duties include:
  • Driving order pickers, forklifts and other powered equipment
  • Completing accurate inventory
  • Picking and packing orders
  • Loading trucks
  • Performing cycle counts as assigned
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and shipping dock
  • Troubleshooting to address special challenges
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working with distribution software is a plus
  • Previous warehouse and forklift experience preferred

Physical Demand:
  • Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment:
  • 100% manufacturing setting
  • Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.
