The Lead Infusion Nurse Specialist is a versatile, high-impact clinical role designed for an experienced infusion RN who thrives in a dynamic environment. This position goes beyond traditional bedside duties โ€” you will play an active role in shaping our clinical operations, compliance program, and organizational culture. As we grow and mature as a company, this role will continue to evolve. We need a team member who embraces that journey and brings energy, ownership, and adaptability to everything they do.

Core Responsibilities Clinical Care
  • Provide skilled home infusion nursing services to patients receiving IVIG, biologics, and related therapies
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date care plans for all assigned patients
  • Ensure all clinical documentation meets payer, regulatory, and agency standards
Operations & Compliance
  • Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with ACHC accreditation standards and contribute to building a fully ACHC-compliant program
  • Review and approve forms and visit verification as delegated
  • Perform compliance monitoring and reporting functions as assigned
Training & Development
  • Assist with clinical orientation and onboarding of new nurses
  • Participate in ongoing staff training initiatives
  • Attend industry conferences and continuing education events as needed
Alternate DON Coverage
  • Serve as Alternate Director of Nursing (Alt-DON) when the DON is unavailable
  • Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and the ability to lead day-to-day nursing operations during coverage periods
Hiring & Team Building
  • Participate in nurse recruiting and interviewing processes
  • Contribute to building a strong, compliant, patient-focused clinical team
Organizational Flexibility
  • Willingly perform tasks outside of the defined job description as needs arise โ€” this is a startup and we grow together

Requirements
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; Infusion preferred
  • Experience with IVIG, biologics, or specialty infusion therapies preferred
  • Familiarity with ACHC or JCAHO accreditation standards preferred
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and adapting to a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Located within 60 miles of the Overland Park, KS office
