JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Accounting and Finance is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach in the areas of Accounting or Finance. Professional licenses and relevant work experience are preferred. Our Accounting and Finance concentration equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address complex accounting and financial challenges. The program emphasizes technical expertise, as well as strong communication skills, ethics, and problem-solving abilities.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Doctoral degree is preferred (must be completed by the time of appointment).
• Relevant work experience in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation in the field is highly valued.
• Exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at the program level is preferred and should be highlighted in the application.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
