Summary
The Receiving Planner coordinates inbound and outbound material movements across onsite and offsite locations, including vendor-managed inventory (VMI) hubs, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers. The role manages shipping documentation, purchase order receiving, drop-ship transactions, and inventory records in SAP to support on-time delivery and inventory accuracy. The Planner works closely with internal and external partners while ensuring compliance with SOX controls and applicable export regulations.
Job Responsibilities
  • Handle daily outbound deliveries, including orders, non-order shipments, equipment repairs and maintenance, RMAs, samples, and consignment materials sent to subcontractors.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including waybills, labels, packing slips, and commercial invoices.
  • Complete required export filings in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) in accordance with applicable export regulations.
  • Monitor VMI/VOI hub inventory movements through applicable inventory systems and record related material transactions promptly and accurately in SAP.
  • Monitor offsite material flows, including drop-ship purchase orders, drop-ship customer RMAs, and drop-ship orders from subcontractors.
  • Ensure all drop-ship transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in SAP and collect required proof-of-delivery documentation for recordkeeping.
  • Identify and resolve issues involving materials or deliveries from offsite hubs.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to support smooth operations.
  • Verify and process SAP entries for purchase order deliveries, services, and intangible-item receipts.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Required
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred
  • One or more years of experience in supply chain, inventory, shipping, receiving, or a related area.
  • Bilingual written and verbal proficiency in English and Chinese.

Location & Work Environment
This is a full-time onsite position based at AOI's Sugar Land, Texas campus, a combined office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment.
Typical business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT, with flexibility required during peak hiring periods and other business-critical windows.
