Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Chicago area to identify an Accounts Receivable Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a collections and AR professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and driving cash flow performance within a growing organization.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounts receivable, credit and collections, and team leadership. This individual will oversee day-to-day AR operations, ensure timely collections, maintain accurate financial records, and partner with leadership to support the company's financial objectives.
Accounts Receivable Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the accounts receivable team, providing guidance, training, and day-to-day support.
  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee collection activities, including following up on past-due accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and coordinating with collection agencies when necessary.
  • Monitor customer account balances and proactively resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding receivables.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, reporting, and internal controls related to receivables.
  • Coordinate daily cash application and bank remittance activities to ensure transactions are processed accurately.
  • Analyze accounts receivable trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Assist with cash forecasting and provide insights to support financial planning efforts.
  • Monitor departmental performance and ensure processes align with organizational goals and operational requirements.
  • Partner with internal departments to improve communication, streamline workflows, and enhance the customer payment experience.
  • Support special projects and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Accounts Receivable Supervisor Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit, and collections.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading accounts receivable functions preferred.
  • Strong understanding of AR processes, collections strategies, and cash application procedures.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong spreadsheet proficiency.
