Your role: Develop and implement control mechanisms for accounting, tax, or financial operations to ensure the quality and integrity of the sector’s financial information and that of certain legal entities Identify, reconcile, and explain variances and irregularities, and ensure that corrective actions are taken where required as part of the month-end accounting close process Participate in the implementation of new activities, policies, standards, and procedures related to your business sector, and establish the appropriate analyses and controls Identify issues, contribute to the development of tailored solutions, and ensure their proper implementation in collaboration with your colleagues to support the execution of activities while considering the diversity of files Produce financial management reports on the balance sheet and results of the Capital Markets business lines Participate in the quarterly and annual disclosure processes for the Financial Markets sector in the Bank’s consolidated results. With a continuous improvement mindset, help enhance our performance tools across various platforms such as Excel, Power Query, SAP, etc Act as a resource person for any questions related to your responsibilities. Your team: Within the Capital Markets Accounting - Disclosure and Financial Performance team, you will be part of a team of 13 colleagues and report to the Senior Director. We work closely with various teams under the Vice-President, Capital Markets and Subsidiaries Accounting, as well as with multiple other teams within Finance, including consolidation, tax, accounting systems, and others, and within the Capital Markets sector.
