Accounting & Tax Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to gain a deep understanding of their business and objectives

  • Deliver creative client solutions to complex accounting, tax, and business issues

  • Apply accounting, advisory, and tax expertise to effectively support client and firm needs

  • Lead, plan, oversee, and execute client engagements to ensure outstanding service, within appropriate budgeting and job realizations

  • Connect clients with additional internal or external specialists as needed

  • Delegate tasks, set clear goals, provide necessary resources, remove obstacles, and manage schedules to ensure efficient, timely completion of projects

  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional growth, development, and performance

  • Participate in firm growth initiatives and client account development to generate new client revenue and expand revenue from existing clients

  • Stay up to date on industry developments

Accounting & Tax Manager Qualifications:

  • 5โ€“8+ years of public accounting experience with an emphasis on accounting, individual, business, partnership, and corporate tax

  • CPA license with a Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field

  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed personal charge hour goals and promote efficiency and productivity within the team

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to creatively improve and follow processes

  • Technical proficiency in MS Office, tax and accounting software, and the ability to learn new applications
