This Opportunity

The Senior Accountant will support Komline’ s Industrial/Agricultural segment where innovation meets industrial excellence. The Senior Accountant will support the financial operations of eight locations which produce the highest quality coolant filtration products for industrial manufacturing and expertise that spans the agricultural industry with a focus on wet and dry milling. Working with employees at these locations, they will be responsible for the financial reporting, accounting, and banking activities of the Industrial/Agricultural segment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Controller of the Industrial/Agricultural segment, the Senior Accountant will support the monthly financial close processes for all entities in this segment, helping to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Prepare journal entries for accounting-related activities such as Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, intercompany, credit cards, month-end accruals, and etc.
  • Review Income Statement and perform variance analysis
  • Review Balance Sheets and prepare reconciliations in FloQast with proper supporting documentation
  • Assist with sales, use, and income tax returns and payments
  • Correspond with corporate staff, subsidiaries staff, auditors, inquiries, and other parties
  • Ad hoc tasks, reporting, or projects as assigned by Controller of Industrial/Agricultural segment
  • May assist with treasury matters including transactions and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience completing month-end closing process and variance analysis
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Suite products such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (including creation of pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
  • Work with multiple Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/accounting software packages and assist with ongoing Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration projects
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in written documentation
  • Prioritize projects to meet business deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to designated business units
