Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to provide weekly and monthly (month end close) ownership, accountability with a focus on cost accounting, inventory valuation, balance sheet & P/L reconciliation, and process improvement in line with our standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities
  • The role involves overseeing standard costing, budgeting, cost variance analysis, and business process improvements

  • Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

  • Enhancing the cost accounting system by managing, maintaining, and improving it

  • Gathering and analyzing data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor

  • Participating or leading in physical inventories and providing reports on results to the executive group

  • Assisting in month-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries related to various product lines and/or standard costs

  • Collaborating with operations and engineering teams to ensure accurate costing and support new product development

  • Preparing various ad hoc reports as requested by local or executive management

  • Leading the enhancement of standard cost reporting and variance analysis

  • Using accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient operations

  • Applying knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and accounting functions in day-to-day tasks
