POSITION SUMMARY:

SRC Industrial is seeking a motivated team member who is looking to build a long-term career with our company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Entering and reviewing invoices while collaborating with various departments to ensure invoices are processed accurately and discrepancies are resolved timely
  • Communicating with vendors to maintain accurate vendor records, resolve any outstanding discrepancies and reconcile vendor statements
  • Cash management including preparing and recording payments and reconciling cash and credit card accounts
  • Ensure complete and accurate reflection of transactions including proper expense coding and analyzing expenses for savings opportunities
  • Preparing monthly recons, journal entries and financial statements ensuring accuracy of financial reports
  • Assisting in financial projections, budgeting and analyzing forecast to actual financial results
  • Assisting with answering accounting and financial questions supporting our culture of open book management and employee ownership
  • Serve as backup coverage for various team members during planned leave and absences
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and workflow efficiencies for continuous improvement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED


  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance or Related Field
  • Minimum of 1 year accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Organization, detail oriented and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support the team as needed
  • CPA/CMA track (preferred)


Work Environment: Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.


Physical Demands: Standing 10%, sitting, 80%, walking 10%. This position requires occasional physical effort including lifting, pushing and pulling material weighing up to 20 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk and hear.
