Job description

Henjes, Conner & Williams, PC is seeking an experienced senior tax accountant to work in our Dakota Dunes, SD office. Our ideal candidate would possess five or more years of experience in public accounting (or similar environment). This key professional position is open immediately and offers an excellent opportunity for leadership and career advancement for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Review individual and business income tax returns and train staff
  • Perform income, estate, gift, sales and payroll tax research
  • Preparation of complex individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns
  • Prepare tax projections and related planning documents
  • Respond to governmental correspondence
  • Various projects as assigned to assist Partners and Management staff in helping our clients in achieve their financial goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, masters in taxation, or law degree, CPA, or CPA candidate preferred
  • Two or more years experience in public accounting (or similar environment) is required
  • Ability to research and apply tax code to complex business situations
  • Knowledge of professional audit and accounting standards
