Job description

Hotel Office Accountant – Multi-Property

Location: Marlton, NJ 08053

Monday–Friday, In-Office

Salary: Up to $60,000/year, based on experience

Regional Hotel Group – 10 Properties


Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Office Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of 10 hotels across NJ/PA and MD. This is a 100% in-office, M–F role based at our corporate office in Marlton. You’ll be the backbone of our property-level financial reporting, ensuring clean books, timely month-end close, and support for our GMs and Regional Controller.


Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Entries

Post daily revenue from PMS reports for all 10 properties; reconcile to bank deposits

Record A/P invoices, code to correct GL accounts, and process weekly check runs/ACH

Enter credit card, A/R, and house account transactions; monitor aging

Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, payroll, and intercompany

Month-End Close

Complete bank reconciliations for operating, payroll, and escrow accounts

Reconcile balance sheet accounts: cash, A/R, A/P, sales tax, occupancy tax

Prepare monthly P&L variance analysis for review with Regional Controller

Assist in preparing financial packages for ownership by the 10th of each month


Operations Support

Serve as accounting contact for 10 hotel GMs; train new managers on expense coding

Review purchase orders and monitor property-level expense trends

Assist with payroll review in Paylocity/ADP and allocation to departments

Special projects as assigned by CFO or Regional Controller


Qualifications

2+ years accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-entity environment

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Proficient in GAAP and Hotel Investor Apps softward

Experience with hotel PMS systems – Opera, FOSSE, OnQ, or similar

Strong understanding of debits/credits, accrual accounting, and GL reconciliation

Experience with USALI and hotel chart of accounts

Familiarity with M3, ProfitSword, Aptech, or other hotel accounting software

Prior experience supporting 5+ properties simultaneously

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, in-office – no remote/hybrid
