Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk

Pay Range: $20-26/hr DOE

Job Description


Position Overview

  • Owns the day-to-day AP intake, coding, and vendor communication functions under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring invoices are accurately coded to jobs and cost codes, processed, and routed for approval on time.
  • Primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, portal management, and lien waiver documentation.


Duties

  • Processing AP bills and statements.
  • Visit vendor portals to download missing or outstanding invoices.
  • Match purchase order receipts to open POs in our ERP and troubleshoot discrepancies as needed.
  • Compile lien waiver tracking log for active jobs; flag open waivers requiring follow-up.
  • Respond to routine vendor inquiries timely and professionally.
  • Process credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor statements against open and processed bills.
  • Maintain subcontractor documents and lien waiver files.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • At least two years of related experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software.
  • Proficient in Office 365, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
