Accounting professionals play an essential role in helping organizations make informed financial decisions, prepare reports, and meet tax obligations.

What does an accounting professional do?

An accounting professional records, monitors, and audits financial transactions for an organization, firm, or individual. As a CPA, you work for a bank or company. As part of your duties, you may issue a statement, audit money transactions, or manage a mutual fund. Other responsibilities include the preparation of tax or financial documents, asset management, and capital account management. You may also work for a private practice, where your duties include advising clients on investments, retirement planning, and taxes.
