The Role
As an Accounting Associate at AMS, you're the steady hand behind our financial operations. Out of our Woodridge, IL facility, reporting to the Corporate Controllers, you'll handle a broad range of accounting duties, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our financial processes.
This role includes functioning as a liaison between accounting personnel and others within the organization, keeping communication and processes aligned across departments. As an employee-owned company, the accuracy you bring to every transaction is accuracy you share in, with Quality, Integrity, Reliability built into every entry.
What You'll Own
  • Assist with accounts receivable by processing and recording incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with accounts payable, including the coding and data entry of invoices.
  • Set up jobs accurately in our ERP system.
  • Function as a liaison between accounting personnel and others within the organization.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities reasonable and consistent with the position as assigned.

What You Bring
  • High school diploma, GED, associate's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Positive disposition with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the position, with self-motivation and a desire to assume more responsibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
  • Above-average proofreading skills with a history of being accurate and thorough.
