Job description

Summary:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accounting and financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Supports financial reporting process including accuracy and preparation of financial statements with Division Headquarters.
  • Provides analysis on financial statements.
  • Prepares and posts all journal entries.
  • Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations and reviews with Controller.
  • Codes and reviews expense reports for payment.
  • Provides analysis on inventory and value-add margin by customer.
  • Responsible for two direct reports (AP and AR positions). Provides support and monitors performance.
  • Provides backup for other financial functions which may include; Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Reviews daily customer billing activity prior to invoicing.
  • Supports year-end financial statement audit and internal audit programs.
  • Leads finance function for year-end physical inventory.
  • Supports inventory cycle-count program, reports weekly performance metrics and initiates process improvements.
  • Supports budget and forecasting process.
  • Adheres to and implements all corporate financial policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Improves systems and procedures, initiates corrective actions.
  • Generates ideas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Will travel to other company locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA preferred but not required.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
