Pay: $130k+/annually (Pay is competitive and based on experience)
AIMS Companies is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead critical financial operations and strengthen our accounting infrastructure as we continue to scale nationwide. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys improving processes, mentoring staff, and ensuring financial accuracy across a multi-location organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including cash management, financial reporting, and month-end close
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules
  • Manage the fixed asset accounting function, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reporting
  • Oversee sales & use tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely filings
  • Lead ASC 842 lease accounting, including schedules, monthly entries, and new lease evaluations
  • Supervise weekly payroll reconciliations and postings
  • Manage the corporate credit card program and spending analytics
  • Drive system enhancements, automation initiatives, and accounting technology improvements
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
  • Support annual audit and tax processes, serving as a key liaison with external auditors
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior accounting staff

Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Expertise in fixed assets, sales & use tax, and ASC 842 lease accounting
  • CPA designation preferred, not required
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or construction/industrial services is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

Benefits:
