What is accounting logistics?

Accounting logistics is the process of managing and tracking the financial aspects related to the movement, storage, and distribution of goods within a company’s supply chain. This role involves monitoring inventory costs, transportation expenses, and ensuring that all logistics transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s financial records. Professionals in this field help optimize supply chain efficiency while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They often work closely with both the finance and logistics departments to provide insights for cost control and operational improvement.

How does an accounting logistics professional typically collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations?
