Our team's charter is to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to build out the end-to-end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure, while optimizing investments and enabling accounting solutions that are scalable and mitigate risk. As Senior Finance Manager, Cloud Accounting, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for designing and executing the accounting processes and controls for Microsoft's Cloud Supply Chain. You will be involved with a multi-billion-dollar asset portfolio, influencing the design of systems & processes, providing key insight to business partners, and executing monthly financial close processes. This role collaborates with Microsoft partners globally, including Finance, Tax, Treasury, Trade, Sourcing and Business Operations to optimize systems, processes and accounting for Cloud Infrastructure and fixed assets.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Accounting and Supply Chain asset management to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Design and execute scalable accounting and reporting solutions to enable stakeholders with optimal and compliant systems and processes, and key analysis and insights.
  • Partner with finance to drive insight and clarity on accounting and asset management guidance to help inform business decisions and financial planning (forecast, targets, and long-range planning).
  • Participate with a high performing team, adding to thought leadership for Cloud Controllership and Enablement.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) / IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and Microsoft Policy; enable controls to safeguard assets and accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to meet regulatory, statutory, audit and compliance requirements.
  • Build and manage close partnerships with teams across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Business.
  • Embrace inclusion, a growth mindset, and enable culture and norms that support consistent quality partner experiences.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Previous accounting experience in operational accounting, Cloud, supply chain, fixed assets, and/or multi-national companies.
  • Solid analytical, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, Internal Controls, and SOX.
  • Demonstrated systems and process improvement experience.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, and creating effective internal business partnerships.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, while having attention to detail excellence and working under deadlines.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
