Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time year round detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our team with bookkeeping, tax, and general accounting support duties. This role is ideal for an accounting professional seeking flexible, part-time hours in a public accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with firm accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Perform bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for client accounts
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting workpapers
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Communicate with clients to request documentation and clarify information
  • Assist senior accountants and partners with special projects
  • Assist with tax support of individual and business tax returns
Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or currently pursuing degree)
  • 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred (public accounting experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and accounting software
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
