Job description

Our client is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a rapidly growing team in Nashville, Tennessee in a Full-Time/Permanent capacity.

This position supports accounting operations across payables, receivables, reconciliations, reporting, and administrative financial tasks. The ideal candidate is very experienced with Quickbooks QBO & comfortable managing recurring tasks, handling office administrative transactional work with limited oversight, and working in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable records via Quickbooks by monitoring aging activity, applying credits, resolving balance discrepancies, and documenting uncollectible items as needed.
• Support weekly disbursement activities by verifying payment accuracy, preparing checks for mailing, and organizing completed payment documentation for filing.
• Coordinate vendor enrollment updates and maintain related tracking records to keep payment information current.
• Office management tasks such as filing documents and financial records, coordinate office supplies & reorder as necessary.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of administrative or accounting support experience, preferably in a construction office setting.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and invoices.
• Experience using Quickbooks (required) + Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and data review.
• Comfortable working independently with limited supervision in an on-site office environment.
• Valid driver's license required to complete occasional mail, courier, or bank-related deliveries.

Compensation:

Salary DOE (up to $70,000 annually)
