Accretive Technology Group - Accounting Operations Manager
Location - Seattle, WA (Onsite). This role is primarily onsite to support team collaboration. Following satisfactory completion of a 90-day onboarding period, employees may be eligible for a hybrid schedule subject to manager approval and business needs.

Position Summary - This role serves as a bridge between accounting operations and internal audit by leading technical accounting projects, coordinating external audit activities, evaluating internal controls, documenting business processes, and driving continuous process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with an investigative mindset and enjoys solving complex business problems through collaboration, analysis, and practical recommendations.
This position plays a key role in preparing the organization for growth by building scalable processes, strengthening governance, and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities -
  • Research and document technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, acquisitions, equity, foreign operations, and other emerging accounting matters.
  • Partner with Accounting leadership to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and support regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Develop accounting position papers and technical documentation as needed.
  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and operational processes.
  • Partner with Accounting and business leaders to identify control gaps and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, narratives, and control matrices.
  • Recommend scalable processes that improve efficiency while maintaining appropriate risk management.
  • Coordinate external audit activities, including managing audit requests, preparing supporting documentation, and facilitating communication with auditors.
  • Perform targeted internal reviews of financial and operational processes to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor remediation efforts and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement across accounting processes.
  • Assist with future ERP implementations and financial systems enhancements.
  • Support integration activities for acquisitions and new business initiatives.
Qualification and Experience Requirements -
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    5-8 years of progressive experience in public accounting, internal audit, technical accounting, or corporate accounting
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience supporting financial statement audits
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications -
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Big Four or national public accounting experience
  • Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment
  • CIA or CISA a plus
  • Experience in SaaS or technology companies
  • Experience with multiple legal entities and international operations
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations
  • Knowledge of COSO Internal Control Framework

A reasonable, good-faith estimate of the minimum and maximum salary pay for this position is $125,000 to $165,000. The successful candidate's placement within this range is dependent on a variety of factors, such as qualifications and level of professional experience. Employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the company's discretionary profit sharing program.
