Waste Connections is searching for anAccount Payable/Account Receivable Clerkto join our team in SouthAustin, TX!The schedule for this positionis Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to interact with varying levels of employees and vendors, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to provide support in accounting. Duties and Responsibilities
- Coverage & Support:Temporarily fill in for absent accounting staff
- Transactional Processing:Execute day-to-day accounting duties, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), Collections.
- Adaptation:Quickly learn new operational workflows, software programs, and departmental procedures as assignments rotate
- Experience:Typically 1-3+ years of general bookkeeping or staff accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency:Microsoft Excel.
- Flexibility & Problem Solving:High tolerance for shifting priorities and the ability to seamlessly resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
- Communication:Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to collaborate with multiple, varied teams and management
Job Requirements:
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 3+ year of Accounts Payable experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word is a must).
- 10-Key knowledge and skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
