Atlas Retail Services is a growing national retail construction and installations services provider to some of the largest retailers and retail brands in the world. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the leadership team, to develop, prepare and analyze internal and external financial statements; reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare and review financial statements
Essential Things You'll Do:
- Coordinate and supervise support staff.
- Work with external auditors, tax professionals, payroll company and insurance companies.
- Perform all ongoing daily accounting and administrative/financial duties including payroll
oversight.
- Supervise & preform all aspects of the General Ledger, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and
financial reporting.
- Develop and manage company budget and project cash flows.
- Coordinate/interface with the company's cost accounting system software provider.
- Develop, implement, and maintain construction management system as necessary, including setting up projects (jobs), estimated job costs, cost codes, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and, when needed, customizing construction progress reports.
- Review and analyze capitalization of costs to ensure compliance with revenue recognition
standards and company policies.
- Manage process for proper and timely coding of construction/Project invoices (payment
applications)
- Oversee project billings and lien releases for customer invoices.
- Oversee disbursements and lien releases for vendor invoices.
- Facilitate project reporting needs of operational personnel.
- Prepare timely, accurate and informative financial statements and other.
Requirements
Other Requirements:
- Some travel required for corp. meetings and other work-related events.
- Must have 7 + years of experience. Construction experience is a bonus.
- Must have a BA in Accounting
- Must know how to work in payroll platforms - Paylocity is a bonus.
- Must be an expert in QBO Online
- Must be strong in a remote environment
- Must be a self-start and proactive
- Must have solid understanding of office, excel, google suite, platforms and software relevant to general business and accounting.
