What you'll do
  • Assist with month-end reviews of project- and job-level P&Ls
  • Support weekly production data reviews Understand financial reporting and general ledger structure; ensure GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Assist management with ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Develop a deep understanding of company systems and processes
  • Collaborate with the team to improve processes and deliver actionable results
  • Support other accounting departments with backlog
  • Assist with the upcoming software implementation, including data analysis and training
  • Assist other departments within accounting with backlog
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

What you'll need
  • Must have 3-5 years' experience in a construction or utility accounting environment
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills and demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp new concepts
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, etc) and Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Skill in prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Dependable with good attendance and adherence to work schedules.
  • Team player, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to new technologies, including proprietary software
  • Experience with Google tools such as: Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Smart Sheets
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Strong accounting and finance skills are required. Minimum 45 WPM typing speed with 10-key proficiency

Additional preferred Skills/Experience (not required but would be beneficial):
  • Construction industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)

The wage range for Accounting Analyst is $30.00 - $35.00
