Position Overview

The Account Receivables Manager will play a key role in overseeing the accounts receivable function for the company. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a proven track record in managing accounts receivable processes efficiently.


Essential Functions

1.         Collections Management:

·         Develop and implement effective collection strategies.

·         Monitor overdue accounts and take appropriate actions to recover outstanding balances.

·         Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing and payment issues.

3.         Credit Management:

·         Evaluate and establish credit terms for new customers.

·         Conduct credit checks and make credit limit recommendations.

·         Review and update credit policies as necessary.

4.         Reporting and Analysis:

·         Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports.

·         Provide regular updates on key performance indicators related to accounts receivable.

5.         Customer Relations:

·         Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

·         Address customer inquiries and concerns related to billing and payments promptly.

6.         Process Improvement:

·         Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts receivable function.

·         Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

7.         Team Leadership:

·         Supervise and mentor accounts receivable staff.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 


Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. 


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 


Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1.      High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

2.      Proven experience as an Accounts Receivables Manager or in a similar role.

3.      Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

4.      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

5.      Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

6.      Proficient in relevant accounting software.

7.      Experience in credit and collections.

8.      Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.


Preferred Education and Experience

1.      BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

·         Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.

·         Must have a valid driver's license.
