Job description

As a Client Account Associate, you will ensure that all clients receive exceptional service throughout their engagement with our firm. You will be responsible for client outreach on receivables and help create solutions to resolve client questions. This role requires a tenacious individual with a growth mindset, capable of adapting to change and working through obstacles. You will be expected to meet/exceed individual and departmental goals and objectives set forth. High performance in this role will lead to further growth opportunities within alliant.
As a national premier consulting firm, alliant is focused on providing solutions to help businesses transform and thrive. alliant offers six different service lines to our clients. This role is within our Accounting department, which supports all service lines across the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with internal departments and fostering an environment of teamwork
  • Create organic Raving Fans by delivering an A+ client experience
  • Conduct research to provide solutions for issues concerning client billing
  • Provide feedback and share ideas/suggestions to raise the bar of excellence
  • Create solutions for client questions/issues
  • Use proven strategies to contact clients via telephone to reconcile outstanding receivables
  • Document client calls and suggest next action items to internal Business Development Team
  • Introduce clients to our various service lines and how they could benefit their business
  • Create account reconciliations for services rendered on projects
  • Identify when escalated measures and/or negotiations are necessary
  • Collect tax documents from clients to assist with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) inquiries

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred in Business Management or Accounting)
  • Preferred 1-2 years of related client service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially strong Excel skills) and other relevant software applications
  • Strong analytical skills to help develop potential solutions for complex issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to diffuse escalated situations with clients, maintaining a professional and calm demeanor
  • Able to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks with a high client volume
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team and independently
  • Ability to analyze issues, think critically, find solutions, and use escalated tactics concerning late payments or disputes
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Internal passion and drive for self-investment
  • High sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines, achieve monthly/quarterly goals, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Receptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essential
  • Candidate must reside or relocate to Houston, TX
