Job description

Position Summary


The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of Harbour Door Services, with full accountability for revenue growth, financial performance, customer relationships, and market development. This role leads the commercial side of the business, including sales, marketing, pricing, estimating, and financial oversight, while ensuring alignment with operational execution through close collaboration with and oversight of the Operations Manager. The Branch Manager plays a key role in driving business growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring the long-term success of the Victoria operation.


Responsibilities


Business Leadership & Financial Performance

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the branch
  • Own and drive financial performance, including revenue, gross margin, and profitability
  • Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, and growth strategies
  • Monitor financial results and implement corrective actions as required


Sales & Market Development

  • Lead all sales activities across residential new construction, renovation & replacement (R&R), and commercial/service markets
  • Establish sales targets, monitor performance, and drive accountability across the team
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, customers, and markets
  • Maintain direct involvement in key accounts, major bids, and strategic relationships


Pricing, Estimating & Commercial Discipline

  • Oversee pricing strategies to ensure alignment with margin and profitability targets
  • Provide leadership and oversight to estimating and quotation processes
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and competitiveness in all proposals
  • Monitor market conditions and adjust pricing strategies as required


Marketing & Brand Presence

  • Oversee marketing activities, including digital presence, social media, and local outreach
  • Ensure marketing efforts support lead generation, brand visibility, and customer engagement
  • Guide messaging and positioning within the Victoria market


Customer & Industry Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and partners
  • Represent Harbour Door as a professional and responsive market leader
  • Address high-level customer concerns and ensure strong service reputation


Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports including Sales Representatives, Estimator(s), Finance/Administration, and the Operations Manager
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and customer service


Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to align sales commitments with operational capacity
  • Ensure effective execution of projects and service work
  • Balance growth objectives with operational realities


Qualifications & Experience

  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in construction, building products, or service-based industries
  • Proven leadership experience with accountability for business performance
  • Strong background in sales, estimating, pricing, and customer relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and profitability
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and business performance
