Accounts Payable Supervisor

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys building efficient processes, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring financial accuracy? If you're looking for an opportunity to lead within a growing organization where your ideas are valued, we'd love to meet you.

Champions Group is a rapidly growing residential HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services organization, and we're looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee our Accounts Payable function. In this leadership role, you'll guide daily AP operations, mentor a talented team, strengthen internal controls, and help drive continuous improvement across multiple business entities.

Key Responsibilities

As our Accounts Payable Supervisor, you'll ensure vendor payments are processed accurately and on time while improving the efficiency and scalability of our AP operations.

  • Lead the day-to-day Accounts Payable team and support coaching, training, and development.
  • Oversee invoice processing, approvals, payment runs (check, ACH, EFT, and wire), and vendor account management.
  • Maintain vendor records, W-9 documentation, and banking information.
  • Resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies with professionalism.
  • Oversee employee expense reimbursements.
  • Support month-end close, cash disbursement forecasting, reconciliations, audits, and 1099 reporting.
  • Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to automate and improve AP processes.
  • Partner with Accounting and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field preferred, or Certified AP Specialist
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
  • Experience improving processes and implementing operational efficiencies.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and formulas.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct and Concur preferred).
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or Certified AP Specialist).
