Responsibilities of the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and oversee all day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Manage and provide leadership to the Production Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Engineering & Project Management Manager.
- Provide direction and support for production, engineering, customer, vendor, supply, building, and equipment issues.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, supplies, vendors, and facility needs.
- Resolve day-to-day problems and escalate issues when necessary.
- Coordinate local events and employee activities.
- Serve as the local contact for DXP/corporate.
- Implement policies and requirements at the facility.
- Provide information and support needed to meet deadlines and objectives.
Qualifications of the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
- 10+ years of experience in operations management
- Previous experience working in a pump manufacturing facility preferred.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and P&L management.
- Familiarity with ERP or distribution software is a plus.
- Strong people skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-motivated team player.
- Effective and proven leader.
