You will join a collaborative and supportive team that works across regions to develop solutions that enhance product performance while supporting sustainability goals.
The Role & Your Impact
As an Account Manager - Meat & Prepared Foods, you will own and grow customer relationships within your assigned territory, balancing execution and optimization with innovation. This is a mixed operational and strategic role where you will deliver sales growth, protect existing business, and collaborate closely with technical and commercial colleagues to solve customer challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Meeting or exceeding annual sales budget targets by securing existing business and developing new opportunities
  • Developing, recommending, and executing account strategies based on customer needs and market insights
  • Negotiating contracts and commercial agreements using in-depth product, pricing, industry, and competitive knowledge
  • Maintaining and growing current business using structured business retention and margin improvement strategies
  • Providing technical support during plant trials, product launches, troubleshooting, and process changes
  • Building and maintaining multi-level relationships with customer stakeholders, from plant operations to senior leadership

What You'll Need to Be Successful
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (food technology, chemistry, or similar preferred)
  • Minimum of five years of relevant sales experience
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to apply technical understanding to customer conversations and ask the right questions
  • Strong critical thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Additional Skills & Interests We Value
  • Hands-on experience or in-depth knowledge of meat or food plant operations
  • Experience with fermented salami, pepperoni, snack sticks, cured meats, or related manufacturing processes
