Responsibilities

What does an Accessories Manager do?

  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with Sales, Service, Parts and Commercial sales departments to fulfill the mission, vision and strategic plan of the organization.
  • Work with Parts Manager to manage accessory inventory.  Manage lost orders, late arrivals, technician concerns and warranty issues.
  • Manage the accessory sales function, scheduling of installations, working with advisors and customers to ensure a smooth customer experience during the process.
  • Greets and interviews every customer at time of sale for add on accessory opportunities.  Any customers that get missed in the process are contacted via phone, text or email after the sale.
  • Review leads and contribute expertise to converting leads into sales.
  • Participate in the strategic marketing and advertising promotions efforts to source leads.
  • Manage CRM to retain customers and seek prospective sales.
  • Set sales goals, track progress and lead the achievement of those quotas.
  • Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters and compile the necessary reports for dealership management to review.
  • Assist sales process to answer customer questions and issues when required.
  • Work with service advisors to assist with installation or sales questions.
  • Review email and other outgoing correspondence, create accessories area of website.
  • Monitor competitive environment to ensure price and quality outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot problems and concerns from staff and customers.
  • Attend trade shows and relevant events to build knowledge and network.
  • Keep two active pre-built “Accessory Vehicles” in the new vehicle inventory.
  • Be an active participant in sales meetings.  Engage with staff with ideas, marketing plans, specials, reward sales with recognition or spiffs.
  • All other duties as needed not noted above.

Good to Know Before You Start!

  • Be prepared to work approximately 45 hours per week
  • 5 day work week, working Saturdays with a day off in the week.
  • Team players only!  You will work with multiple departments and many different people.

  • You will have support!  We have a veteran staff to teach and assist.
  • You may be asked to perform other duties.  With additional responsibilities comes additional pay.
