Patient Access Representative

The Patient Access Representative plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient intake process within healthcare facilities across the United States. This position is responsible for managing patient registration, verifying insurance information, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. The ultimate goal is to enhance the patient experience by providing accurate information, addressing inquiries, and resolving any access-related issues promptly. The role requires a detail-oriented and compassionate individual who can handle sensitive patient data while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Success in this position directly contributes to the operational efficiency of the healthcare organization and the overall satisfaction of patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role, preferably in patient registration or access.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance processes.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
