Job Title: Senior Atlassian Tools Administrator Location: Lafayette, LA, Birmingham, AL, Columbia, SC or Knoxville, TN Job Type: Permanent Full Time Seeking a Senior Atlassian Tools Administrator to support and enhance a large scale Atlassian Cloud environment serving more than 8,000 users within a financial services organization. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the administration, development, integration, automation, security, and ongoing support of Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence Cloud, and the broader Atlassian Cloud platform. The engineer will develop and maintain Atlassian Forge applications and extensions, integrate Atlassian products with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Teams and ServiceNow, and implement AI enabled capabilities using ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI APIs, and GitHub Copilot (GHCP). The role will also focus on workflow automation, platform governance, access controls, operational stability, and secure implementation practices within a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a highly regulated financial services environment with enterprise cloud platforms, including AWS heavy environments, and supporting business critical applications at scale. Key Responsibilities . Administer Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management, Confluence Cloud, and Atlassian organization/site settings. . Manage users, permissions, access controls, platform policies, and governance across the Atlassian Cloud environment. . Develop, deploy, and maintain custom Jira and Confluence applications using Atlassian Forge. . Build Forge solutions using UI Kit, Custom UI, Functions, Storage APIs, Web Triggers, and Custom Fields. . Integrate Atlassian Cloud products with Microsoft Teams, ServiceNow, REST APIs, webhooks, and event driven services. . Develop AI enabled capabilities for knowledge management, ticket summarization, enterprise search, virtual assistants, and workflow automation. . Implement secure integrations using ChatGPT Enterprise, OpenAI APIs, and GitHub Copilot capabilities. . Create and maintain Jira and Confluence automation and Forge based workflow extensions. . Establish and maintain platform security controls, guardrails, access management, and governance standards. . Support production operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, integrations, and platform reliability for an environment serving 8,000+ users. . Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve workflows through automation and AI. Required qualifications to be successful in this role . 5+ years of experience with Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Cloud. . Experience administering Atlassian Cloud organizations, sites, users, permissions, and access controls. . Strong development experience with Atlassian Forge, including UI Kit, Custom UI, Functions, Storage APIs, Web Triggers, and Custom Fields. . Experience building and supporting production Jira and Confluence Forge applications. . Experience integrating Atlassian Cloud with ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, REST APIs, webhooks, and event driven services. . Hands on experience with ChatGPT Enterprise and OpenAI APIs, including prompt engineering and enterprise AI use cases. . Experience implementing AI solutions for knowledge management, summarization, search, virtual assistants, or workflow automation. . Experience with GitHub Copilot (GHCP) and its use within enterprise development environments. . Strong knowledge of Jira Automation, Confluence Automation, and workflow optimization. . Understanding of AI governance, data privacy, security controls, and secure enterprise AI implementation. . Strong knowledge of Atlassian Cloud security, identity/access management, permissions, controls, and guardrails. . Experience supporting large scale, business critical SaaS platforms in production. . Familiarity with AWS based enterprise environments and cloud security practices is strongly preferred. . Strong troubleshooting, communication, and production support skills. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field .?
