The Overhead Door Installation Technician will install, service, and maintain a variety of commercial door systems while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism. What You'll Do

  • Install, service, and maintain industrial door systems, operable walls, and access control equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control-system components
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across a wide range of commercial and industrial facilities
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Record service calls in dispatching system including time, service provided, and materials used
  • Educate customers on preventive maintenance and safety measures
  • Complete work orders on paper and digitally, and communicate effectively with project teams and customers
  • Operate a company vehicle in a safe manner to travel between customer sites
  • Follow all safety protocols, maintain OSHA compliance, and keep job sites clean and safe

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial doors, loading docks, or a related field (level of experience will determine placement)
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability or willingness to learn welding, steel fabrication, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently on the road and take direction as needed
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays; overtime opportunities available
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work in all outdoor elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind) and access all areas of a job site including stairs, scaffolding, and ladders
  • Must be physically capable of performing essential job functions
