Job description

The Senior Product Manager at ProdataKey (PDK) puts the customer at the center of everything and is responsible for defining, executing, and evolving the roadmap for PDK's cloud-based access control software platform and mobile applications. The PDK platform enables security integrators to deliver customized IP-based, cloud-connected solutions that include door controllers, readers, wireless locks, sensors, I/O interfaces, and more.
In this role, you will own the strategy and execution of PDK's software platform, partnering closely with security integrators, engineering, UX, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional installation and end-user experiences. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the physical security industry and leads continuous product discovery to identify customer needs, validate opportunities, and translate insights into clear product requirements. Working closely with UX and engineering, you will guide products from early ideation through successful delivery.
This is a high-impact, highly visible role that requires balancing long-term product vision with day-to-day execution. Success depends on building strong cross-functional relationships and influencing teams across the organization to bring that vision to life.
PDK seeks a leader with a strong background and a proven track record to enhance and expand PDK's software-as-a-service solution and the Product Management team.
Key Responsibilities
(30%) Roadmap and Strategy
  • Develop and communicate a clear product strategy for the software product portfolio that supports the company's objectives.

  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that reflects market trends and customer demands.

  • Spend time with customers to understand their problems before proposing solutions, using customer interviews, field observations, and market research.

  • Gather or review market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the access control and security industry.

(45%) Product Management
  • Set OKRs and KPIs for products and use product analytics to measure adoption, engagement, retention, and overall product performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and design, to drive product development from concept to delivery.

  • Define and prioritize product features, specifications, and enhancements.

  • Communicate product vision, customer value, and business rationale through clear product documentation.

  • Make product decisions that create value for customers and move the business forward, using KPI results to evaluate investments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or Marketing).

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience managing software as a service or solutions, preferably delivering commercial or consumer products in the security industry (access control, alarms, video surveillance). Mobile app

  • Proven track record of defining, managing, delivering, and discontinuing products with minimal guidance and a high attention to detail.

  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills - both written and verbal.

  • Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and project management skills.

  • Analytical mindset with experience using quantitative and qualitative customer insights, product analytics, and business metrics to make data-driven decisions.

  • Working knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management, role-based access control (RBAC), audit logging, authentication (SSO/OAuth), and common SaaS security and privacy frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR) is preferred.

  • Energized by and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
