Job description

Tuvli is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed and experienced individual to fill the role of Access Control Engineer for our existing government client in Springfield, VA. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for fulfilling access control programming instructions as provided by system engineers.
  • Provides support with semi-complex testing and troubleshooting in a variety of engineering tasks
  • Troubleshoot various system malfunctions with end users, to include Installation Technicians. Communicate with on-site personnel to properly evaluate and resolve the system malfunction.
  • Generate system application reports based on provided requirements and parameters.
  • Provide semi-complex design, development, testing and modifications of solutions material specification and schematic preparation other system operations assistance and appropriate follow-up
  • Provide periodic 24/7 on call support.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience, in enterprise automated physical access control and intrusion detection (ACS/IDS) systems.
  • Knowledge of physical security automated access control applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of automated workflow ticketing systems preferably Maximo
  • Must be capable of processing, interpreting, resolving readily identifiable to complex, less clearly defined technical access control issues.
  • Must have a good understanding of networking principles.
  • Tier II or III Helpdesk experience helpful.
  • Must have experience installing, designing, and performing maintenance functions on intrusion detection security systems and CCTV cameras integrated with Network Security Protocols, Active Directory, and associated hardware.
  • Post secondary education and /or a combination of education, experience and/ or certifications a plus, Software House C*CURE 9000 Certification, Windows Operating Systems and/ or related access control security disciplines preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable government standards and guidelines for electronic security systems, anti-terrorism/force protection. Must be able to provide periodic 24/7 on call support.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
