As a Security Guard Full Time Bicycle Patrol in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public school environment. You will conduct routine bike patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Guided by our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture, you will work with integrity and teamwork to support a welcoming location.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other members of the school community while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to designated personnel.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with school administrators, staff, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
