THE WORK:
  • You'll report daily to the project office in Los Angeles to engage with contractor and PMSS staff.
  • You'll advise the client regarding project configuration during conceptual and preliminary design and engineering. 
  • You'll participate in design coordination meetings and track design progress against key milestones.
  • You'll review design documents for technical quality, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.
  • You'll help ensure integration and consistency across various design elements, including tunnels, aerial structures, stations, and support facilities.
  • You'll monitor and evaluate the scenario planning and alternatives development process.
  • You'll identify technical risks and design gaps early and help develop mitigation strategies.
  • You'll provide timely technical summaries and recommendations to internal PMSS leads and decision-makers.
  • You'll coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure smooth design progression and issue resolution.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
  • With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering field
  • Minimum 12 years of overall professional engineering experience
  • At least 8 years of experience in design engineering, planning, and delivery for transportation or infrastructure projects
  • At least 4 years of experience in alternative project delivery for transportation or infrastructure projects
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license 
  • Master's degree
  • Prior experience working in collaborative environments with contractors and public agencies
  • Familiarity with early-phase planning, conceptual design, and corridor-level alternatives development
  • Design experience across multiple transit modes, including Rail (light, heavy, or commuter) & Tunnels, aerial structures, and operations & maintenance facilities (OMSF)
  • Strong generalist mindset, capable of understanding and reviewing civil, structural, and systems designs
  • Demonstrated expertise in conceptual design and scenario planning, creative problem solving and critical thinking, clear, concise, and diplomatic communication
$200,000 - $270,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
