Job description

Product and Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; San Diego, CA): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Product and Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager in San Diego, CA, and the job duties are as follows:
  • Perform and support system-level validation activities for embedded and consumer technology platforms, including coordination of functional, integration, interoperability, and regression testing to support quality and release readiness objectives.
  • Define, establish, and oversee validation approaches and test strategies for assigned programs to ensure alignment with technical requirements, delivery milestones, and quality standards across multiple product releases.
  • Lead and coordinate defect investigation and triage activities by reviewing failure reproduction steps, logs, and diagnostic artifacts, and working with engineering teams to support root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, systems, and quality stakeholders to align validation execution with delivery schedules, client requirements, and established quality criteria across embedded and consumer technology environments.
  • Monitor product quality status and release readiness by consolidating validation results, assessing validation risk, and escalating identified issues or blockers with supporting technical context to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and coordination for a validation team, including engineers supporting manual and automated testing activities, while offering review, escalation support, and execution oversight as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes by reviewing test artifacts, supporting knowledge sharing, and ensuring alignment with established Accenture delivery, quality, and documentation standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Performing system-level functional, integration, and regression testing;
  • Validating embedded or consumer technology platforms involving hardware, firmware, and software interaction;
  • Coordinating defect investigation, triage, and fix validation using logs or diagnostic data;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional engineering, systems, and audio quality teams to support delivery and release readiness objectives;
  • Assessing validation risk and consolidating test results to support quality and release readiness decisions; and
  • Preparing and reviewing test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and validation reports.

Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
