Position Title: Software Development Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to support advanced software development efforts at Wright-Patterson AFB. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for the technical design, development, and implementation of complex software projects that support the nation's most vital defense programs.
You'll apply deep technical expertise across engineering, computer science, and IT disciplines-often leading initiatives, guiding junior developers, and ensuring that project solutions are innovative, secure, and mission-aligned.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, coding, testing, and deployment of sophisticated software systems tailored to defense requirements.
  • Provide technical direction to lower-level developers and engineers, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Apply advanced principles from engineering and IT to build robust, efficient, and secure software solutions.
  • Act as a project leader when required, interfacing with clients and managing task execution.
  • Solve complex technical problems independently, using initiative and sound judgment.
  • Develop documentation such as technical reports, system specifications, and user guides.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of software development experience, preferably in defense or mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced programming, system design, and full-stack development.
