Job description

AWESOME LANDFILL MANAGER FOR A FAST GROWING COMPANY ... APPLY NOW TO EXPAND WITH AN AMAZING TEAM !!!!
The Waste Pro Landfill Manager will have oversite of a landfill and ensure that daily site procedures are following safety, environmental and equipment maintenance policies. The Landfill Manager will develop strategies to ensure the landfill is operating efficiently to maintain compliance and profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Maintain safe a safe landfill.
* Manage landfill in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and Waste Pro policies.
* Ensure consistent, compliant and profitable operations.
* Monitor productivity and cost controls
* Maintain ongoing oversite of all permitting and forecast potential issues
* Meet with officials from environmental agencies, state and federal officials regarding operations
* Train and mentor staff on issues regarding the operation of a landfill.
* Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the Waste Pro landfill through inspections, training and preventive maintenance programs with managers and employees.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
*Education: Bachelor's Degree, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of relevant work experience.
* State certification/ license to operate a disposal site will be needed as required
* Experience: 5 or more years managing landfills
* Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills
* Excellent Attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities with effective distribution of time and effort.
* Ability to lead and train others.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
* Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, used by Waste Pro.
* Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

* Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds.

Normal setting for this job is carried out in an office or disposal facility, and may include a variety of environment conditions, including wide variation of temperatures, weather conditions, including but not limited to heat, cold, snow, rain, wind, noise, vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust
