Administrative Assistant

Florida Connections Academy (FCA) is a tuition-free, online public charter school serving students in grades K-12. FCA is authorized by Hillsborough County Public Schools and is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), which are accrediting divisions of Cognia.

Working from the school office in Tampa, FL, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance and processing of student official transcripts, managing course validation procedures, and performing additional support services. This job class requires attention to detail, organization skills, and the knowledge of specialized areas of school administration policies and procedures.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:

  • Entering student information into the school and district information systems, including but not limited to registrations, course enrollments, and transcripts;
  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal and state enrollment, credit, and student privacy regulations;
  • Generating reports as requested;
  • Answering the phones;
  • Follow up with local school districts for transcript request and interpretation, and student records;
  • Request and update college/dual enrollment transcripts;
  • Manage the course validation process;
  • Assist with a wide variety of daily responsibilities;
  • State and district data reporting;
  • Assisting with state testing preparations and reports; and
  • Additional duties as assigned.
