Are you passionate about creating dynamic, challenging, and fun experiences for kids? The Ninja Coordinator is the driving force behind our ninja program, leading everything from weekly classes and camps to specialty events and showcases. This role is perfect for an energetic leader who can inspire both athletes and coaches, while ensuring our ninja programming is safe, progressive, and unforgettable. The Ninja Coordinator serves as the academy's ninja expert, responsible for designing, leading, and continuously improving all aspects of ninja programming while mentoring and developing the coaching staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to design and maintain engaging, progressive ninja lesson plans and class structures.
  • Ensure all ninja programming aligns with company objectives and participant needs.
  • Lead the execution of weekly ninja classes, camps, specialty events, and showcases.
  • Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching for all ninja coaches.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure consistent program delivery and adherence to safety standards.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a collaborative and high-performance coaching team.
  • Maintain and enforce all safety protocols, policies, and procedures for ninja programming.
  • Conduct periodic audits of classes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance the participant experience and drive enrollment growth.
  • Make recommendations for staff scheduling based on program needs and participation levels.
  • Coordinate staff assignments for classes, camps, events, and showcases.
  • Ensure smooth operational flow between ninja and other facility programming.
  • Partner with the GM and PM to address program needs, goals, and adjustments.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when assigned, overseeing daily facility operations in the absence of the GM or PM.
  • Represent the academy's values of respect, teamwork, and excellence in all interactions with staff, participants, and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Education, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in coaching, athletic instruction, or program coordination (gymnastics, ninja, martial arts, or youth recreation preferred)
  • Previous leadership experience with staff training, supervision, or mentoring strongly preferred
  • Ability to create structured lesson plans and progressive skill development programs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children, parents, and staff in a positive and professional manner
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and school holidays to support program needs and events

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Classes are held in an indoor gym environment with frequent interaction with children and families
  • Must be available for consistent weekly scheduling during the school year and summer months
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move gymnastics and ninja equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and active engagement with athletes and staff.
  • Regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively via phone, email, and in person.
