This is a part-time role as a Youth Development Specialist located in Brooklyn, NY. The Youth Development Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of youth participants in our R.E.A.L. Program. This role involves direct engagement through tutoring, group facilitation, mentoring and enrichment activities. Specialist help cultivate a safe, structured, and inspiring environment that aligns with R.E.A.L.'s commitment to holistic youth development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group homework support and academic tutoring in core subjects.
  • Facilitate interactive group activities focused on leadership, teamwork and personal development.
  • Serve as a positive mentor, role model, and advocate for youth participants.
  • Collaborate with program staff, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Monitor and maintain, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Support data, collection and reporting on student progress and program outcome.
