Overview of the Position:

Perform maintenance on commercial aircraft components. Work to ensure that customer orders are completed within the Repair Group's standards and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Qualified on several units and can work independently.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with the operations policy and procedure, including daily verification that all aircraft related material in area is properly identified, maintained, preserved, and segregated.
  • Ensure the data being used to perform maintenance and alteration tasks is current per the repair station requirements.
  • Record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.
  • Perform the necessary research to assure that technical data and manuals are current and appropriate for associated tasks.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Prefer some related college courses, certificate or associate degree. Minimum two years' related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
